Seek the 8 Red Coins

Template:Missionbox Seek the 8 Red Coins is the fourth mission of Big Boo's Haunt in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The objective is to collect the eight Red Coins scattered throughout the mansion.
Layout
The player has to find the eight Red Coins in the mansion of the course. None of the red coins are located outside the mansion or in the Merry-Go-Round areas. Once the player has collected all the Red Coins, the Power Star will appear at the Star Marker on the second floor of the mansion. The only difference of this mission between the two versions of the game is one of the Red Coin's position has changed. The locations of the Red Coins are:
- Behind the Mad Piano, in the first room to the left on the first floor.
- Two are located in the second room to the left of the first floor, one is on top of each bookcase.
- On a platform in in the door on the far right of the first floor.
- In the first left room of the second floor, across the room.
- In the first right room of the second floor, under a coffin.
- In the N64 version, there is one under another coffin in the same room.
- Across the tilting platform in the far right room of the second floor.
- In the DS version, the coin is floating near the ceiling of the lobby. Mario's Power Flower ability or Luigi's backflip is needed to collect it.
