Navtemplates and categories[edit]

Hi, just making sure you don't forget to add navtemplates and categories to pages, like you forgot to do on Mystery Egg (Mario Kart Arcade GP). Thanks! Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 15:00, 22 February 2019 (EST)

Thanks for the reminder, I'll do that from now on. --MiracleBraveAbsorbing Mushroom from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX 15:28, 22 February 2019 (EST)

Categories should also be added to the images, such as , replacing the uncategorized template shown during upload. More info here:

Hello, MiracleBrave. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

The player[edit]

While Donkey Kong can only use the Mark Star Banana, we generally refer the user of an item as "the player" instead of the character that they are playing as. The first sentence of the page "The Star Mark Banana is one of Donkey Kong's special items in Mario Kart Arcade GP." already tells the reader that the item can only be used by Donkey Kong. That's fair. I'll change it back. I normally say "the user" instead of "the player", though, since CPUs can use items as well. While a CPU can never use the Star Mark Banana, I'd rather say "the user" just for consistency. Is that ok? --MiracleBraveAbsorbing Mushroom from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX 10:05, 25 February 2019 (EST)

In the case "the user" is preferable for the reasons you mentioned, so my apologies for my mistake. Also, your current signature is raw code and per MarioWiki:Signatures complex raw code in signatures is not allowed so if you want to use a complex signature then you will have to create it as outlined on Help:Signature. Rabbit Ear[edit]

Hi, just one quick question: Would you mind telling me what the Rabbit Ear item for the Mario Kart Arcade GP series does? I'm just wondering because it's merged with Carrot at the moment, and I'm considering starting a proposal to split the two. The Rabbit Ear is a lock-on throwing item. If it hits a racer, that racer will grow rabbit ears and will uncontrollably hop for about 7 seconds, which can really screw them up because you can't influence direction or accelerate while in midair in Arcade GP. Hope this helps. --MiracleBraveAbsorbing Mushroom from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX 21:43, 3 March 2019 (EST)

Well, that complicates things a bit... Thanks, anyways, though. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 14:23, 4 March 2019 (EST)
