Re: Separate English files for Princess Peach: Showtime!Edit

Hi! To answer your question, yes – there are almost no changes there in those games either. The only one I could find in the two that you mentioned was that in the US English/en_US scripts, in-game dates (i.e. for when the game was last saved) are written in month/day/year format and in EU English/en_GB they're written in day/month/year format instead.

I would also appreciate if you didn't mention me in your messages to wiki admins; I would rather not bother them personally. I did decide to make a proposal about how we should list identical English (United States) and English (United Kingdom) localizations if you're interested, though. Now with the proposal expired, I guess we’ll never know what we’re gonna do about it. CarlosYoshiBoi (talk) 08:07, February 28, 2025 (PST)
I’m still confused on one thing tho: For Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the 2024 remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong, are there any actual differences between English (United States) and English (United Kingdom) or were they added to distinguish their date formatting but no changes to the script whatsoever? Or even then what about Super Mario Party Jamboree? CarlosYoshiBoi (talk) 15:42, February 9, 2025 (PST)
I haven't actually checked those particular games yet but I would assume there aren't. PaperSplash (talk) 22:41, February 9, 2025 (EST)
Quick question: Does Princess Peach: Showtime! show dates for save files like most games? CarlosYoshiBoi (talk) 7:39, February 13, 2025 (PST)
Not as far as I can tell, no. There only seems to be one save file available per Switch profile anyway. PaperSplash (talk) 19:24, February 14, 2025 (EST)
Got it. I was asking so then I can see if it shows dates for saves to list both English languages in its page, but with the fact that there’s no way of seeing the date for saves and the script remains the same, I may change it to just English. Same for Paper Mario: The Origami King if it also applies there. CarlosYoshiBoi (talk) 6:18, February 13, 2025 (PST)

RE: About the SVG US flagEdit

I'm not sure myself, I was going by Porple's reasoning for deleting it last year so you may want to ask him.   Mario JC 07:58, September 2, 2025 (EDT)

Lately I actually brought up on if we should upgrade all our PNG flags to SVGs, so that may be why I added SVG versions of the US and UK flags (along with uploading new flages added as SVGs). The SVG UK flag was deleted too from what I‘ve seem. --CarlosYoshiBoi (talk) 17:10, September 2, 2025 (PDT)

CitationsEdit

Please make sure you cite sources for all information related to upcoming content; your article had no sources at all aside from the foreign names.   Mario JC 08:56, September 13, 2025 (EDT)

I’ll be honest the only foreign name that didn’t have a source was Canadian French because Nintendo of Canada on Twitter mostly doesn’t post in French for some reason and then also I don’t know if the French Canadian website announced it yet. --CarlosYoshiBoi (talk) 09:35, September 13, 2025 (PDT)
