Names in other languages

Hi! Thank you for adding names in "Names in other languages" sections. However, I wanted to let you know that newly-added foreign names must be sourced using |LangC= parameters, at the very least with a sentence that specifies where the name can be found (see this change). Also, languages must be sorted in the correct order: Japanese first, then alphabetical by language name; for example, French names should be placed above German names. About the correct order of language, you have to know that there is a glitch of some sort in some of the pages, sometimes when i dont put my entries in a specific spot,it doesnt show up on the page when i make my edit.I dont understand why either

Haven't personally heard of {{foreign names}} having any issues related to position like that. Will try to forward this, but in the mean-time, are you sure you weren't simply missing the leading | at the start of one of the parameters? ~Camwoodstock ( talk ☯ contribs ) 18:01, August 31, 2026 (UTC)

For whatever it's worth, they did actually provide a source in the first edit reason, to this video here. Actually plugging in a citation for the video is fairly trivial, if a bit time-consuming, and we might actually look into that shortly provided nothing else gets in the way... Went ahead and took care of most of those. Not sure what the source was for Washroom (1F), and some of these listed both a French Canadian and French European name, so we left those untouched for right now. ~Camwoodstock ( talk ☯ contribs ) 18:19, August 31, 2026 (UTC)

Oh yeah? the names from Quebec. I didn't find any longplay on Youtube with the French canadian version but multiples french speaking wikias about Mario have documented the Quebec names for the rooms (ie: the Mario Fandom https://mario.fandom.com/fr/wiki/Manoir_du_d%C3%A9sespoir and Wiki Mario https://wikimario.fr/Manoir_du_d%C3%A9sespoir As a french speaker myself,i can assure you that the names used dont seem absurd and absolutely sound like the vocabulary that a translator from Quebec would have used when translating LM2 (ie:"vestibule" which is not a word that is used a lot in European French).I think the wikias can be trusted for that one.Sorry if i didnt put a lot of thoughts in sourcing my claim,to be honest,i was just editing those pages to pass the time.
