Hello there, 'Shroom readers! Man, what an Awards Ceremony, huh? It feels like I say this year's ceremony is the best one I've seen yet every time, so might as well keep a good thing going, right? I'd like to thank my fellow directing staff, the entire Awards Committee (special shoutout to the members who stepped up for extra projects as well), our wonderful presenters, and everyone who stopped by to hang out with us for the day! The Awards Ceremony is one of the most special times in the community, and it wouldn't have been possible without all of you. If you missed it, please do take the time to check out the presentations on the forum after you're finished with this issue, they're very worth your time!
As you may expect, things are a bit slower on the 'Shroom front in comparison, but we press on! With other large-scale community projects still ongoing and more apparently on the way, we're looking at a quiet few months here as far as announcements go. We'll be getting into planning January's special issue in the near future though, so expect more details on that as soon as we're able to share them. I don't really want to think about how close 2027 is right now, though...
In the meantime, we have more sections from our great team today, and we'll have even more over the coming months! We won't keep you here too much longer, but if you're feeling the community spirit and interested in joining the paper, stop by our sign up page!

Was that an awesome Awards ceremony or what? As WT pointed out above, everyone's tuckered out for working on presentations and whatnot, but The 'Shroom still has plenty of content to enjoy! I don't really have anything else to add here to be honest.
Well, besides the new guest sections for August!
- ClawgripFan9001 provides both a Character Parade and Travel Guide for Fake News. The former is about Water Land and some of royalty that watches over the Metropolis, while the latter features Letter Kong exploring Didrick Temple and its surrounding village! Hopefully there won't be any traps...
- Shoey (talk) has something else ready for Fake News - two News Flushes! One's about Captain Blackeye, a once fearsome pirate captain who is now a shell of his former self. The other one's about the Smithy Gang going on strike! It's hard work creating all those weapons... always think of the workers!
- Zdrmonster provides us a Pokémon themed photo Community Artwork for Palette Swap! This'll be a nice surprise for fans of the early generations! Plus it's pretty cute too, take a look when you have time!
- Waluigi Time himself presents a Rising From Obscurity for Strategy Wing talking about the history of Pauline! She's been appearing in many of the newer games, including the popular Donkey Kong Bananza. Discover how she jumped to superstardom as you sing your favorite songs by her!
