Mario Party 9 is the ninth home console installment of the Mario Party series, the sixteenth in the series overall, and the second and final installment for the Wii. It was released on March 2012 in Europe, Australia and North America, and on April 26, 2012 in Japan. This was the first Mario Party game developed by NDcube, succeeding previous developer Hudson Soft. It is also the final game of the Super Mario franchise overall to be released for the Wii console.
