Where on Earth does the name "Spirit of Greed" come from? In-game, he's called the "Spirit of Money" by the chapter title and "the spirit who loves money more than anything" by his dialogue. Is this a regional thing, a second/third-party thing, or a a mistake that's been missed until now? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:04, December 25, 2022 (EST)

I swear I remember it growing up. I can't find a scan of the manual online...? In-game it seems to be 'Tale of the Spirit of Money' in both the Universal Gravitation and Topsy-Turvy versions.

Oh my, so I can't make references on letting players draw two cards from their deck? Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 00:21, January 7, 2023 (EST)
According to this transcription of the North American manual, he is named "The Spirit who loves money". Incidentally, the unsourced names of the Spirit of Power and Spirit of Speed are probably derived from this section. The Spirit of Fright also used to have the alternate name "Spirit of Scariness" (Special:PermanentLink/400304) which matches the term used in the manual. - RHG1951 (talk) 13:19, April 10, 2023 (EDT)
