Misidentified with Triple Jump, also moveEdit

I feel like all of the Somersaults on this page not linked to jumping while moving while invincible are just Mario doing a Triple Jump. Also, names in other languages beat out conjectural names, meaning this pages title is "Piroetta". Salmancer (talk) 18:20, April 25, 2025 (EDT)

Ah, no, I figured it out. It's a wording thing. I'll just use a edit to make "applies to every form" clearer. Salmancer (talk) 21:30, April 25, 2025 (EDT)

Is this applicable outside of SMB3?Edit

Running some tests here, and something's not adding up. If I hurtle myself down a pit as Invincible Mario in Super Mario Maker, I get about the same jump distance even if I'm playing New Super Mario Bros. U or Super Mario World. If this is supposed to be a discrete move, I should be getting different results when in a game like New Super Mario Bros. U where somersaults are valid compared to a game like Super Mario World where it isn't. (I trust this isn't a Maker difference because if it is the Maker article should have caught it a long time ago.) Is it only a distinct state in Super Mario Bros. 3? It's definitely distinct in SMB3, I can hardly get him to hold still while doing it and it's pretty much impossible to jump into pipes. If they made it more of an aesthetic change in later games, I think it should still count as the same thing. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:23, April 27, 2025 (EDT)
Maybe merging is be too much. I would remove the categories and navboxes for the relevant games It's like Dash, which is being referenced in Super Mario Run, has a paragraph about Super Mario Run in the article, but is demonstrably not a gameplay mechanic of Super Mario Run. Other examples would be Dash Attack, Roll Attack, and Cartwheel Attack in terms of Super Smash Bros. and sports games. Salmancer (talk) 19:57, April 27, 2025 (EDT)
I'd maybe swap the non-SMB3 sections for a single "Later Super Mario games" section. Salmancer (talk) 20:02, April 27, 2025 (EDT)
