Origami King[edit]
In Paper Mario: The Origami King, getting an announcement pops a message box that says "Doo Da Dee Da". In Japanese, it says ピン ポン パン ポン♪, which is the name of this sound effect. It definitely sounds like the same general idea. I don't know if it would count as an exact arrangement, but it should be noted somewhere. Scrooge200 (talk)

- I believe that writing the sound out as text can be considered an appearance exclusive to the Japanese text. In a similar case, in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a guard outside of Kakariko Village vocalizes "ピン ポン パン ポン!" before announcing the time. This text was localized as "Ding dong, ding dong!" in English. However, I would not consider the associated chime to be an arrangement of "Pin-pon-pan-pon", as it seems to take after "Paper Mario: The Origami King" instead. Since the chime and text are associated, the chime can be briefly mentioned when discussing the appearance of "Pin-pon-pan-pon" in the text. B700465189a9 (talk) 16:25, December 23, 2025 (EST)
