Related to the deletion tag. To cut a long story short, this article, as currently formatted.... is pretty much useless. It's ridiculously short, not very informative, and it's also debatable whether this should even count as a "series" at all.*

I'm also not sure what else could even be added to this page to justify its existence, other than how Mario largely abandoned the Edutainment genre after the second game in this duology. (As noted by its own article.) Pretty much all of the relevant info I can think of is already hosted on their own respective pages, and wouldn't gain much out of being reposted on this one.

Does anyone have any thoughts or counterarguments regarding the fate of this page? (*This part of the matter was partly, albeit somewaht indirectly, addressed during a proposal from earlier this year regarding the New Super Mario Bros. games.) Wandering Poplin (talk) 21:46, July 27, 2026 (UTC)

It's short, a conjectural, and doesn't really procure benefits. Probably not worth maintaining such a page to me. At least the New Super Mario Bros. games have more than two installments to keep track of. Sprite of Mario's icon in Mario Party DS It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 00:59, July 29, 2026 (UTC)
The only argument I can possibly think of is that Mario + Rabbids also has only two games, but at least that article has significantly more info then purely listing the games, as it also has a "Gameplay" and "Characters" section. It also helps that it isn't conjectural due to being officially recognized as a series. So, yeah, I don't see anything of value being lost if this article gets deleted. If more information of value can be added to the page, or if Nintendo just happens to somehow for some reason officially confirm Mario Teaches Typing as a series, then maybe there could be a case to argue as to why it should stay, but as it is; This page doesn't really serve much of a purpose beyond just being a gateway to other pages with information. Hold on, then why do we still keep Famicom Grand Prix, DK (series) and Super Mario Stadium around? Aren't those also series with conjectural titles that consist of only two games? ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 17:39, July 30, 2026 (UTC)
The DK (series) has also had questions raised about its own validity. I considered bringing that matter up earlier in the discussion, but chose not to, as it's kind of a separate issue. The other two pages mentioned are definitely worth further investigation as well.
That being said, at least those three articles had something of value to bring up on their respective pages. But this article on the other hand? ...It is so short and so lacking in content that you could hypothetically* copy-paste the entirety of this page into a section of the Super Mario (franchise) article, and nothing would really change.
(*Mind you, that is not what I would personally do. It is just an example of what someone could do.) Wandering Poplin (talk) 18:23, July 30, 2026 (UTC)
As per @Wandering Poplin; this page is nothing more than just a simple paragraph just going over what the series was, and a list of 2 games that really doesn't benefit anything. With a page like Famicom Grand Prix, it goes a little more in detail about the series' origins, and it's legacy. Or with Super Mario Stadium, it talks about the differences between entries, the indirect entry in Mario Sports Superstars, and it's predecessor in Baseball. Even the DK series has at least a little more validity than this one, since it has at least a small bit of information about the origins of it's gameplay and the promotional entries so it isn't just the main 2 games. I don't even think this page necessarily doesn't count as a series, but it's so lacking in any information of value that there's no reason this page needs to exist. As I said in my previous comment; if more information of value can be added to the page or it can be made not conjectural, then there could be an argument to made about its validity.
