What motif is the intro based off of?[edit]
I know for a fact that the intro of the "Main Theme" is based off of an existing motif, because other themes such as "Baby Park" use it. Which motif is that? Pipro8049 (talk) 16:55, December 19, 2025 (EST)

- it's called the "Minsky Pickup", and it originated from American vaudeville in the 1920s and '30s. due to its influence in ragtime music, and ragtime music's influence on Super Mario, it shows up a bunch in the franchise. —
