What's the source for the current "Inka Dinka Doo" spelling, and why use it over "Inka Dinkadu" or "Inca Dinka Du"? Official sources refer to the temple as Inca Ruins/Temple, suggesting the latter spelling. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:20, November 22, 2025 (EST)

...Could you also maybe provide a source that doesn't block people from outside the US from viewing it? I can't even get through it with a US-based VPN. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 01:08, November 24, 2025 (EST)
The episode summary provided there (Tubi is a streaming platform) is as follows: "Donkey Kong finds a golden banana inside Inka Dinka Doo's temple and gives it to Candy. However, the banana contains a curse that wreaks havoc on those who keep it." Mario4Ever (talk) 04:03, November 24, 2025 (EST)
I thought for cartoons, we prioritize home releases over streaming services whenever possible, and given that Tubi launched in 2014 and this article was created in 2006, their spelling could have easily come from here. LinkTheLefty (talk) 05:47, November 24, 2025 (EST)
We could treat it as an officially accepted fan name, no? PrincessPeachFan (talk) 10:40, November 24, 2025 (EST)
I imagine the spirit of this proposal applies re:Tubi? Though I should note, the Italian source predates the creation of the article. EDIT: Also, other characters have spellings that differ from the wiki's, e.g. Greencroc, Cutlass (not to be confused with Kutlass), Captain Scurvy... I don't know if the cartoon deliberately tried to emulate the games' Kremling "K" theming or if that was just an assumption of earlier edits. LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:47, November 24, 2025 (EST)
Considering the "K" theming is all over the Internet, I'd say the cartoon is deliberately emulating the games. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:58, November 26, 2025 (EST)
Just because something appears to be common knowledge doesn't mean we can't look into it. In many cases, that's exactly why we should. LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:37, November 26, 2025 (EST)
