Species[edit]

Are cars classified as a species? Serious question here. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:12, 5 September 2017 (EDT)

Since it appears to be a sentient car, I would say in this case it's reasonable to do so, unless a better one exists. --TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 22:13, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
Usually for animated objects, "Animated so-and-so" is what I put down. In this case, "Animated Car". Would that be better? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:17, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
There's nothing wrong with leaving the parameter blank, in my opinion. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 22:19, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
I suppose, but it is sentient, so I think it should be classified as something. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:29, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
It's hardly a requirement that every sentient creature needs to be paired up with a corresponding species. There are plenty of bosses that are esoteric enough that they don't even look like any creature, at least not to a point where we could reasonably declare them to be a derived species from that creature. What's the benefit of marking down a species if we don't have an article on it, anyways (and no, this doesn't count)? Yes, it looks like a car. You can tell because it looks like a car, and even failing that, the article still describes how it looks like a car. What purpose does marking it down as a "Car" species add? Does it even need the infobox then, since the only other parameter is mentioned in the paragraph? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:36, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
Even if it isn't relaying much of anything of note, it adds a good buffer between the image and the text (without the text potentially wrapping under the image), plus it relays the most important and relevant bits of information from the article in a concise package. The species, however, is only important if it's actually a species that we're covering on the wiki. Mummipokey, for example, is obviously a Pokey, and the first sentence makes it clear which game it comes from, but the infobox outlines both of those aspects clearly. Okay. I'll remove the species parameter. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:46, 5 September 2017 (EDT)

Hold up. Is Roderick the car or the person driving it? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:48, 5 September 2017 (EDT)
