Variant of Galoomba?[edit]
This article and the Galoomba page claim that Goombud is a direct variant of the Galoomba, but the Goombrat is treated as a vague relative to the Goomba. Why are these not consistent? Shouldn't both the Goombrat and Goombud be considered variants or relatives? --PopitTart (talk) 17:54, February 2, 2025 (EST)
- My hunch is that it's because official text says the confusion is intentional. From Super Mario Run: "A statue of a Goombrat. Nobody is quite sure of their exact relation to Goombas..." And there's not much Super Mario Wiki can do to cut through text outright meant to be vague and unknowable without other clarifying text. Salmancer (talk) 19:12, February 2, 2025 (EST)
