How is this eligible for an article?[edit]
This is something that has been bugging me for a while. Per MarioWiki:Article naming § Musical theme titles, for a name to be used as a theme article's title, it must accurately represent its original appearance. "Flying Battleship" is not a name given to any kind of airship level in Super Mario Maker; instead it is used for the ones found in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which is where the arrangement with the title "Flying Battleship Theme" comes from. Since this theme does not have an official title that represents it as a whole or is recurring (it has only had seven out of eight appearances as far as I'm aware), I think it is not eligible for an article, and therefore should be deleted. If the theme becomes recurring before it receives a fitting official title, this article should be restored with a conjectural name. The Dab Master 23:20, January 24, 2026 (UTC)
- Huh? I thought the rule was "has a name", as in "any name". The same section of the Article naming protocol you're citing outright says "If no original name exists, the article should use the next suitable name selected from one of its other official names". So this article's existence shouldn't be wrong just because it doesn't have the highest tier name available for it. Salmancer (talk) 23:38, January 24, 2026 (UTC)
