Move to "First Officer"[edit]
Bowser Jr.'s Journey writes the term "First Officer" in title case, but this article and the wiki writes it in lowercase as "first officer".
Formation Menu entry for First Officer in the Guide (this Guide entry writes the term "Captain" with a capital letter, but another Guide entry I checked (Battle Basics entry for Defeat a Captain to Win) does not capitalize captain for some reason):
The First Officer fights alongside the Captain during Captain battles.
Just like Captains, First Officers can use CP to unleash powerful attacks.
You can deploy a First Officer by placing an eligible character on the tile above the Captain.
Characters that can be First Officers have a silver border around their profile.
On a related topic, Captain Commands usable by First Officers seems to be named First Officer command, with command written in lowercase.
Battle Basics entry for First Officer Commands in the Guide:
First Officer commands are special commands that only a First Officer can use. First Officers will learn these as they grow stronger.
First Officer commands use up a First Officer's CP. When taking part in consecutive battles, CP will recover a bit between each fight.
This seems like a problem to fix because the term has been incorrectly written across the wiki... --Spencer PK (talk) 05:28, March 23, 2026 (UTC)
- "First officer" should definitely be moved in that case, "Captain Command" too unless someone can find a source for that name.

- "Captain Command" does not need a move. Captain Commands and First Officer commands are technically separate things, but it makes sense to have them merged (currently) so they can all be listed together from how functionally similar they are. I think there are cases in Bowser Jr.'s Journey where an enemy captain can use Captain Commands that a player would have to use as a First Officer command. I just brought up the term "First Officer command" because it is related to this discussion of the term "First Officer" needing to be updated on the wiki. It would make sense to fix both terms in a single editing pass. --Spencer PK (talk) 10:37, March 23, 2026 (UTC)
- i don't see any controversy in moving these, then. no proposal required. — eviemaybe
