After rescuing Ningyo-hime, Mario and his friends flee from Poseidon Koopa to the Ningyo no Kuni, where Poseidon Koopa's power have no effect. However, in the next chapter, the deity is able to bypass by lunging one of his sea dragons in Mermaid Daisy's house and steal her treasure map. A car chase ensue in a maze created when Daisy pulls a lever that parts the waters in a maze. After retrieving the map and destroying, Poseidon Koopa's car, Mario and his friends get on shore, while Daisy closes back the waters, apparently drowning their enemy.
Despite being called it "the home of the mermaid tribe" and "village", Daisy is the only mermaid in the area, and the only structure seen is her seashell house.
