Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash[edit]

Support[edit]

  1. Baby Luigi (talk) I feel like this article is a good contender for a featured article. While, due to its lesser content than other games, it appears to be easily maintained, the article is still complete, written well, and has sufficient length to qualify as one. It describes all game mechanics and modes with sufficient information, has a complete list of all courts and what they do, a complete and formatted reception section, and no other major problems, at least those I can find.

The only thing that probably needs to be there is a list of chance shots, or Chance shots should be made into their own page, as they're a game mechanic feasible for page creation. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 20:37, 30 May 2016 (EDT)

Not opposes, but general tweaks that I would like to be done before it's featured. I feel that the intro is a bit on the short side, and the characters gallery is really bulky. But perhaps the worst issue, is that it's lacking a controls section.--

Any suggestions on what I can add to the intro? The characters gallery is supposed to be reflect the character select screen but I feel like the presentation of the character select screen isn't well-translated into wikis presenting information. Also, the controls section, well not every article has one, but I don't know the controls of the game, considering that I don't own it. Is there anywhere I can find that list the game controls so I can implement one? BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 21:20, 30 May 2016 (EDT)

@Time Turner: I've attempted to address the problems you have stated. The character "artwork" isn't really artwork, it's in-game renders of the images taken from the Ultra Smash official website. It's the highest quality we can get, and I most definitely think that any problem is probably on your end. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 22:01, 30 May 2016 (EDT)

Good work! Just one question, though: why are the characters organized in blocks of three? It leaves a giantly garish blank space on the right. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
I changed it into four per row, but I suspect that it's supposed to reflect the character select screen. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 00:52, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
I've stated that the character select screen layout doesn't translate well into wikis, so yeah, it looks better rearranged. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 17:43, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
Unfortunately, I don't have the game either. But I feel that the controls section is really important, especially in sports-games. Usually there are a lot of button configurations and combinations (as you can see for example in Mario Tennis (Nintendo 64)).--

I did play the game briefly at a demo stand and its gamepad controls were pretty similar to Mario Tennis: Open's controls. I can't 100% confirm though. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 22:49, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
