Kame Star is the base of Bowser in the Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World 7 of Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is a nod to the Death Star and resembles it greatly, with the addition of a shell.

Located at the end of the universe, so far that it is easier to reach it by warping, the Kame Star is a temple dedicated to the Koopa deity Koopa Daimyōjin, and in front of his statue Bowser wants to marry Princess Peach and Princess Daisy after kidnapping the both of them. While they carefreely wait for Mario arrival, thanks to a deceit from Wendy, Bowser manages to take Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi hostages. Worse, he even claim to have been the superhero Super Mario Great all along, convincing the princesses to marry him. Helped by a reformed Ninji, Mario retrieve and Henshin Capsule and turns into Great, freeing the others and ordering them to run to the ship. Furious, Bowser prays to the Koopa Daimyōjin statue for help. He gives him his powers and turns him into Koopa Seven, bigger than Great. While transforming, Koopa Seven manages to destroy the Kame Star, sending all the Koopa Troopas inside flying into the emptiness of space, while the rest of the heroes are safe on their rocket ship.
