Gold Barrels are collectibles (referred to in the game's description as "Pick-Ups") appearing in Donkey Kong Country Barrel Maze. They are one of two different barrels available within the game that add to the player's score, the other being Silver Barrels.
Details[edit]
Upon collecting a Gold Barrel, 2,000 points are added to the player's score. Like the Silver Barrel, this item has no effect on the player outside of adding to their score, and is fully optional to collect. Like Silver Barrels, Gold Barrels appear in every level in the game.
