The Devil Yoshi no Tō is a tower located in the middle of the Southern sea, known for being the place where a Devil Yoshi's egg appears every millennium. It appears in Super Mario World! Yoshi no Tamago of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is a normal tall tower (100 enemies tall) with just two turrets on the top, making it resemble a trident (or a Yoshi clawed paw). On the top, the Devil Yoshi's egg rests.
It is the final destination of the manga and appears in chapter 4, where Bowser wants to hatch the egg with the forced help of Mother Yoshi, by threatening her youngest kids. As the heroes approach it on a flying pirate ship, Bowser destroys it with a Banzai Bill, so Oumu makes a giant eggshell appear to use as a makeshift raft. The Koopalings start to toss them enemies, but the heroes stack the enemies in a pile to make a ladder to the top, using the Koopalings (after Wendy accidentally throws down Morton and all of them attempt to save their siblings, getting dragged down) as the final steps. Unfortunately, even if Mario and friends saved Mother Yoshi and her kids, Bowser succeeds in hatching the egg, and while waking up, Devil Yoshi destroys the tower, while Oumu sandwiches the enemy pile with a Star and the other part of the eggshell to summon Star Yoshi. By the end of the gigantic battle, Bowser is left alone on the remains of the tower.
