The Piranha Plant Tour is the seventy-fourth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which will begin on July 13, 2022 and will end on July 26, 2022. As the tour's name indicates, it will feature numerous Piranha Plant-themed content, including Piranha Plant Slide from Mario Kart 7 returning as a classic course, Petey Piranha as a new driver (marking his first playable appearance in the Mario Kart series since Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, almost 19 years prior), a Petey Piranha-themed Mii Racing Suit released as part of Wave 10, the Piranha Pipes from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and a new Piranha Plant-based glider. With Petey Piranha's addition, Koopa Paratroopa is the only playable character from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! not playable in Mario Kart Tour as of this tour.
