Hookbill the Koopa

Hookbill the Koopa is a Koopa Troopa in the game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. He is the boss of World 5 and he resides atop the final castle in that world. When Yoshi and Baby Mario reach the top of the castle where Hookbill lurks, a fog envelops the area as Yoshi crosses the bridge. After the fog fades, Hookbill and Kamek appear before the dinosaur. Kamek threatens Yoshi by saying "Little Koopa come through for me now! Go forth and rock Yoshi's world!" and then casts a magical spell on Hookbill. Hookbill pops into his shell, with proceeds to grow to an enormous size. When Hookbill reemerges, he has become a giant.
After the transformation is complete Hookbill shows his self. Walking on all fours he creeps towards Yoshi to attack him and Baby Mario. After a while of walking on all fours he stands up and runs in Yoshis direction soon after, he lunges at him. Yoshi then must dodge the attack in order to avoid getting hurt. If Yoshi jumps on Hookbills shell and/or head, Hookbill will cough out Yoshi Eggs for Yoshi to use against him. Yoshi then must take aim around his head and arms shooting him 3-4 times (whether or not if he is on all four). Hookbill will then fall on his back struggling to recuperate. Jumping onto over sized koopas belly Yoshi then must ground pound it causing damage. If Yoshi fails to do so, Hookbill will recover by hiding in its shell pounding the ground. Additionally Hookbill will do the same recovering counter attack if you do damage to his belly. Yoshi must do this process a total of 3 times in order to defeat Hookbill. When Yoshi lays the final attack on Hookbill, His shell will explode. The normal sized Hookbill will pop out in his boxers and fall of the castle.
He re-appeared in Tetris Attack as one of the truly evil opponents in the game, and had no ally. The game also implied that he speaks in a hasty and stressed way.

- In Paper Mario there's another Koopa Troopa named Kent C. Koopa that resembles Hookbill.
- In Tetris Attack, Hookbill the Koopa takes Phoenix's place at Stage 9.
