Dr. Tornado is one of Dr. Mario's special attacks in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is executed by pressing Down + B. It has the same effect as the Mario Tornado, only a little weaker. It traps the victim into a tornado, and smashes them up into the air when the move is done. It also very lightly pulls someone near into the Tornado. If the player presses B quickly before the Doctor starts spinning, he will travel upwards while spinning.
Dr. Tornado is Dr. Mario's down special move in Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The move operates similarly to Mario's Mario Tornado and Luigi's Luigi Cyclone, with Dr. Mario spinning around and dealing multiple hits to opponents, though the move sends them in a random direction rather than straight up, and this move deals more damage. Also like the Mario Tornado, Dr. Mario is able to move horizontally when using the move, and repeatedly pressing the special attack button lets Dr. Mario rise into the air while spinning. The move also draws opponents in while Dr. Mario is spinning. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U the move does not deal as much damage but instead deals greater knockback. The range for drawing in opponents is also greater on startup.

Also in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, this move has two custom variants. The first one is Soaring Tornado, which gives more height but less horizontal movement, as well as only creating wind that pushes opponents away rather than damaging them with the exception of the last hit. The second custom move is Clothesline Tornado, which does not cover as great distance and does not last as long but each hit deals great knockback to opponents, no longer drawing them in.
