Template:Racecourse Wario Shipyard (known as Wario's Galleon in Europe and Australia) is the second of the Star Cup in Mario Kart 7. The course is owned by Wario and takes place inside of a sunken ship in a stormy weather.

Description

The course is mostly underwater. It includes swinging anchors and broken remains of the ship. There are several ramps for players to execute tricks or collect coins. The floors and giant pipes create jet streams providing players to a higher position. Upon reaching the finish lap, players must glide while avoiding obstacles such as the ship's topsails and anchors. Minecarts filled with gold, likely to be from Wario's Gold Mine can be seen just as the player boards the ship itself. The music track of this course is based on the main theme of Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. The course is possibly an homage, as the game had a pirate theme. In fact, Bull Wario (a form from that game) can be seen in one of the course's billboards.

Layout

The course starts out of the water, after a short straight there's a left turn that brings the player underwater. Then there are two trick ramps followed by two roads, one of which remains underwater, while the other leads out of the water. After two trick ramps, the player enters in a short cave with a giant skull head on it (at the second lap, some Fishbones appear in the tunnel). After the tunnel, there are some pipes that blow air currents, and then there's a huge pipe blowing air that allows racers to reach the other side of the pit. At the player's left there's a giant puddle with a barrel that can hand out Mushrooms, Bananas or rarely Stars if destroyed. Then there's an anchor moving from side to side. After it, the road divides in the shipyard: they both have two boost panels and lead out of the water, but the first has a hole, and the second has a trick ramp that brings the player to the guardrail, and the roads reunite. After them, there is a trick ramp and the player returns underwater. Then there are two crabs and a barrels the player must avoid. After that, there is the glider cannon and the player exits from the water. In this zone the player must avoid anchors and ship's topsails. If the player bumps on obstacles they return underwater and exit with two trick ramps. After the water zone there are two roads: one continues on the main road and the second, which is shorter, has three boost panels on it. Then there's another turn and a ramp to the right that can be used to cut the turn. Then the player arrives on the start line.

Shortcuts

The player can cut the puddle after the huge pipe with a mushroom.
