Overturning a Proposal

The original proposal said you could not completely overturn a proposal for sixty days, which means passed proposals can be partially changed immediately as needed. For example, if the current FI/Calendar proposal passes, FIs will replace the Calendar on the main page. That means there could not immediately be a proposal about replacing FIs with the Calendar. However, there could immediately be a proposal about re-adding a Calendar section to the Main Page, as it builds off the original proposal but does not completely overturn the decision. Basically, within 60 days, you can't have a proposal that would return things to the way they were before the original proposal. Does that help? -- Son of Suns (talk)

Stub Proposal

I had to remove your Stub Proposal, sorry. It wasn't specific enough - merging stubs has to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. For example, you could try making a Proposal just about the DiC trilogy you used as your example, and then once that passes (and is enacted) or fails, then you can move on to another group of stubs. Another Proposal Header

Wow, three Proposal-themed headers in a row - you're on a roll! (When I first joined all I did was proposal stuff too!) Anyway, sorry for being so brutal about the Majority Proposal, but in academics you gotta defend your ideas with tooth and nail, and I never make exceptions. Still, you fixed it up well, and I am glad you made me one of the Proposers. I'm also happy you finalized the numbers, since I was still up in the air about the amount of votes needed for a clear lead, and about how long the proposal should be extended for. I'm really busy these days too (actually, my parent's anniversary is coming up as well), so I couldn't find the time to sit down and finalize anything. Still, you might try making drafts of your proposals and whatnot before posting (and always remember to preview at least once to catch anything you've missed), to avoid these sort of mishaps in the future. One more thing: if/when the proposal passes, let me add the new rule. I already wrote it up and have it saved on my computer. Haha, I was well aware it was a joke proposal. I was only opposing it because the last joke proposal that went in place, I supported. (I was trying to show that I'm all for jokes, in other words. :P) But, I wasn't the one that removed your proposal. That was Blitzwing (talk). I had joined right after the time of the Pie Proposal, I believe, so I'm not real clear on the details. But, yes, I do believe a few users left because of it, somehow. And Rudnicki is a very horrid troll on the MarioWiki forums. He was banned for flaming, being sexist, racist, and a pervert. However, he has some groupies (for lack of a better term), that have a vendetta against me. So, ALL of my accounts on the internet were hacked on the 26th and 27th. S/he used my account on the forums to ban and delete over 600 accounts, and nearly nuke the forums all together. I'm fairly certain that this is a rule somewhere, because I was told a similar thing once; but proposals about making a certain rank of users' vote more valuable is not allowed. All users have equal opinions, and the whole point of having proposals is for it to be a community decision; not for it to be voted upon, passed, then eventually vetoed by a Bureaucrat who disagrees with the idea. — Stoo ben Roo ben 18:56, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Personal Image Limit

You have exceeded the limit of personal images you are allowed to have. You are only allowed to have four personal images. Please be mindful in the future to only upload four. For more information see MarioWiki:Personal images. Yoshario

Adding to what Yoshario said, please tag the Personal Images you no longer want with {{delete}}. If you want to keep your personal images, you can externally link them from a site such as PhotoBucket, Imageshack, or Picoodle. If you don't reply within 3 days, I will have to take matters into my own hands and delete some of your PIs until you have only four. Great job on the comic! Hopefully, you're planning to continue those, it was awesome!

On another note, I'm sorry to say I (and probably many others) say most of your proposals are sort of useless (no offense). Please think about if the proposal might actually go through before you post it.

Sig Proposal

I took a look at it, and overall, I like it. However, I would like to make one suggestion (which I mentioned on the Proposal in a comment): limiting sigs to Userspace only is rather extreme, so perhaps they should merely be banned from MarioWiki and Help pages, but not article talk pages. For one thing, we don't want to quash individuality outright; and, most of the time, sigs are fine, so why ruin it for them just because of a few irritants? Most article talk pages don't get long enough for the sigs to cause problems, and those that do generally are ridiculously long articles that old computers can't deal with anyway. Also, it'll be impossible to go around and replace all the personalized sigs currently on talk pages with {{User|name}}, and the uninformed will get confused by that and keep signing with their sigs (or the handy-dandy ~~~~ code, which I'll admit, I'll miss using on talk pages myself), and it'll just be a big mess. So, seeing as my name's on the proposal (I thank you for crediting me, by the way), I'd appreciate it if you'd make this change. - Walk azo 23:45, 20 May 2009 (EDT)

You're only noticing this now? Maria hacked Stooby's account over there months ago and demoted all the other admins; since then, we've pretty much given up on U-Referata. I wasn't aware that it had information Adriels didn't, except perhaps the few edits I made; I advise you simply copy that info and bring it to Adriels (that's what I did with my page and the Patroller templates - so don't bother with those), and leave the trolls to their fun. Need Help

Dear SMB, could you please move the page Table Tennis to Singles (over the redirect), move the page Fencing to Individual Epée and move the page Rowing to Single Sculls? These are the real names used by the games and if you move them, a redirect will be made (unless you choose to skip it, please don't). I can't move them because my E-mail has not been confirmed and I'm not getting the confirmation E-mail, I just checked and the E-mail isn't there. I'd say the only problem is the headers, they can be a little bit subtle but I don't really think A ruined vacation makes me even relate to Super Mario Sunshine, if that header could be changed to something more like Vacation to Isle Delfino and the other headers like that, I'll try to help. Removal of Support/Oppose Votes

On the proposal page, how do you get support and oppose votes removed? In the proposal that you made, Baby Mario Bloops' vote is invalid according to me and I think it should be removed but I don't know how to go about that. Please help, Thanks in advance Marioguy1 (talk)

Vandals...

Like in town, there are people who like to corrupt the order of the things and just mess them up by likeness or deliberately. Their job must be disregarded in this wiki possibly because they hate the Mario universe or they want to threaten other users, like in wikipedia. Anyway, other of their edits must be removed completely from users' eyes like a major vandalism or a hacking, preventing so some future problem. That's the work of a sysop, a patroller, and other specialized user in general. ¢oincoll€ctor

SMB, several tips for next time there is a vandal:

Use the warning templates (User {{Reminder}} then write a threatening message after)
Make him think you're an admin but you're too nice to block them so you're giving them a chance, there's no shame in lying to a vandal.

Well, Patroller just means that you can now block users (and some other minor things) the only other difference I know is accessing the special thing in forums! OK, I really want to get started on splitting SMG missions so I have made a list of all the options I see to help your proposal win:

Users like your cause and vote (unlikely)
You keep it as a tie until I come back; I know I can eliminate about 3 oppose votes
You aggressively argue down the opposition and take over
You make examples of all the articles to prove none would be stubs.

Note: If you choose to argue, a good point would be that all the articles would contain: An Infobox and two sections at least, this may convince some of them to change. Ya, I saw your proposal but while I was away I thought of something: Maybe we could make drafts of all the SMG missions by getting them to branch off of the pipeproject page. Then we could make a whole new proposal (I think it's like a month until you can repeat a proposal!). Anyhow, if you want me to do that notify me. Until then, I will keep making them (starting tomorrow).
I know, I can't believe my proposal got so much support! I guess it was a better idea than I thought. Anyways, I'm going to take a look at the Q&A page in a sec (and I might even do a little check up on the archives...).
My vacation...it was horrible! Nothing against the vacation itself but it was honestly no fun without a computer. My parents wanted me to see the natural side of things. As for nature, I've decided it's best not to test it and I'm sure my 10 (I counted) mosquito bites agree with me. I'm sorry if this is a bit long, it's been a long time!

How about this: We forget about the to-do list link and have a link leading to the pipe plaza, right by "Help Us Maintain This Page"? That would help and it would be good to both sides, plus it wouldn't clutter up the main page as much as a new box would.
