Preview button

Try to avoid making too many edits to one page, especially your user page, as this can clutter the page's history and flood the recent changes. Use the "Show preview" button next to the save button to check your work and continue editing, then save when you are ready to publish the edit.    16:52, 25 February 2019 (EST)

Oh...I didn't realize my user page edits show up there, too! I thought saving frequently would prevent a lot of work having to be redone if I accidentally exited out. I will try to reduce this problem. Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) 14:52, April 10, 2019 (EDT)
You can set the recent changes to only show certain namespaces (mainspace, userspace, files, etc.), but most people just keep it to the default everything as far as I know.
You can also edit pages in a Word document or something, you can save as many times as you want to there, and then carry over the text to your userpage when it's done. Downside there is you can't preview any wiki changes :P    17:08, 25 February 2019 (EST)
Well, you can preview your changes and don't save them. I do think the WikiEd addon lets you save backups of changes, but it takes extra to load all those buttons, so I don't use it myself.   It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 17:14, 25 February 2019 (EST)

Userpage

While getting to know you better is all well and good, you've been editing your userpage rather extensively over the past couple of days. Be sure to mix in some helpful edits as well!    18:16, 27 February 2019 (EST)

Enemy Counts

I noticed you added enemy counts for NSMBW World 1-4 and some levels of Super Mario World. I'm currently endeavoring to compile accurate enemy counts for SMB 1-3, SMW, and the NSMB games. Please feel free to double check my counts and/or add counts to pages that are empty if you want to help me in this. User:Ladishchap

Enemy counts are one of the easier things to add, since I have access to a lot of level maps and videos. It's easier with levels that are more linear. Feel free to check any mistakes I make, too. :) Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) 16:26, April 23, 2019 (EDT)

Images

You don't need to add Category:Game 3D renders to images, at that is automatically applied when you select the {{game-3Drender}} template.    19:54, May 3, 2019 (EDT)

Also, abbreviations of game titles such as MKDS should still be properly capitalized as if they were fully spelt out, even in file names. Doomhiker (talk)  20:07, May 3, 2019 (EDT)

Editing my vote[-]€40 vv@(talk · edits)  14:14, May 11, 2019 (EDT)

Sorry about that! Your votes were actually not there when I added mine. They must have disappeared due to a conflict. You probably started editing after I did, but saved your changes before I did. Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) 14:20, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
Either way, a reminder was supposed to be given, not a warning. OMF, you should probably check twice a page before editing it. Or maybe even check what revision of the page you are editing, since it can happen as well. Tent2   14:25, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
You should appeal this warning anyways, as it was obviously an accident. A formal reminder instead of an actual reminder would be better, as you never done anything bad, and mistakes like this can happen. Doomhiker (talk)  14:28, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
Good point... it should be up to the admins. Sorry for my misunderstanding. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits)  14:41, May 11, 2019 (EDT)

User has apologized, and this is obviously a mistake, not one meant to cause trouble. This thing tends to happen when editing the whole page rather than a section, though, so maybe edit a specific section next time so the wiki alerts you when a conflict does happen in that spot.    15:52, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
