Personal image

Goombuigi is not online but you can create your userpage after you've become an autoconfirmed user, meaning after you've made 10 edits total. Since you've uploaded some personal images, you may want to do this and use your images on your userpage as soon as possible, otherwise the images will be deleted for being unused.

Also, if you're trying to upload a new version of an image, click on the "Upload a new version of this file" under "File history" on the existing file page, rather than uploading it separately. You don't need to upload a rescaled version anyway; instead, you can just resize the image by specifying the width in pixels, like this: File:Bubbasour11.png (type ).   Mario JC 22:42, June 7, 2021 (EDT)

Thanks   Mario JC I will try that =)
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bubbasour11 (talk).

It's no big deal. Another thing, if you want to use a custom signature, you have to create the page first: User:Bubbasour11/sig. This is where your signature code goes.
Make sure it follows the rules on MarioWiki:Signatures. It should have a link to your userpage, and the image can only be 35 pixels tall (x35px or less - the "x" before the number specifies height). An example: Bubbasour11
After that, go to your preferences, type in the "New signature" field, tick the "Treat signature as wikitext" checkbox, and hit save. Now after you leave a comment, sign it by typing four tildes: ~~~~ Your signature will then show up.   Mario JC 06:35, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Also, please move the content below to your userpage. This sort of content shouldn't be on the talk page.   Mario JC 06:36, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Thx. Look:  Bubbasour11

Signature

Dear Bubbasour11,

Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures. Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you.

Your signature needs to fit inside the box. Please reduce the size of the image you are using so that it may fit.   (T|C) 09:30, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Oh sory Archivist Toadette Hey the words just need to go down it fits in the box now [=(  Bubbasour11

Try to avoid using other users' signatures when addressing them as well, otherwise it gets confusing and looks like the comment was made by them instead. Please also move your "Monthly Inquisition" section to your userpage as I said above.   Mario JC 09:50, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok I will try to do that  Bubbasour11

😠 I fits in the flippin box!  Bubbasour11

The message should stay there regardless if it has been done or not.   Nightwicked Bowser   17:20, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok fine  Bubbasour11

Userspace edits

Try not to make too many edits on your userpage within a very short timespan, this can flood the recent changes page and you should focus more on mainspace pages in general. You should also preview your edits to make sure there aren't any errors you would need to fix in a later edit.   Nightwicked Bowser   10:20, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

I can try but I am not promising anything.  Bubbasour11

You've been spending a lot of time on your userpage lately. Try to get in some main article edits as well. Additionally, use the "Show preview" button to test and see how your edits look on your page, and then you can continue editing from there before saving to keep your userpage edits from piling up.    14:33, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

I do use the "Show preview" buttin but I think of things after I hit the "Save Changes" butten.  Bubbasour11

Please stop excessively editing your userpage on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

I know you said you weren't making promises, however this is our policy that you should follow.   Nightwicked Bowser   20:08, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok. I am sory. I did not know it was that inportant.  Bubbasour11

Grammar and spelling

Your grammar and spelling will need to be improved if you want your contributions to hold water. Edits like this simply contain far too many errors to leave on an article.    22:15, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Yah I am kindda rely BAD at spelling. I am so sory if this is a magor inconvenience.  Bubbasour11

Do you have a spellchecker? Any words underlined in red are misspelled. It's not a perfect solution, since words misspelled into other legitimate words aren't caught, but it helps.    22:26, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Yah I have it but sometimes like when spelling caricatures names or I just spell it too far of it is still wrong. I am soooooooooo sory that I am doing something bad to my favorite wiki but I will try my best to do beter.  Bubbasour11

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey you cold of just fixed my spelling and not DELETED THE WHOLE THING IN THE TEC SECTION!!!!!!! Bubbasour11

It's not my job to clean up after you. If you only made one or two minor mistakes, I would have just fixed them, but the whole section was a total mess. I'd recommend simply not making any large edits like that until your grammar and spelling are up to snuff.    22:50, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok sory  Bubbasour11

Please don't yell at users in your comments, too, it's discourteous.   Mario JC 22:53, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Hey I said sory. (and that was not yelling)  Bubbasour11

I know that, I'm telling you so it doesn't happen again.   Mario JC 23:21, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok I tried the TEC page again hopefully it is a lot beter.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bubbasour11 (talk).

To be more specific, you need to capitalise proper nouns (names) like "Peach" and "Rogueport" (not "peach" and "rogueport"), and don't begin sentences with conjunctions like "but". As I said here, though, a relationships section isn't necessary if there isn't more to just "good relationships" (see the sections for Mario, Princess Peach etc. as examples). Like 7feetunder said, you should take the time to improve your spelling and grammar before taking on text-heavy edits like this. I also strongly recommend reading over MarioWiki:Manual of Style.   Mario JC 23:21, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok thank you Mario JC  Bubbasour11

Just saying, these issues are going to be a massive barrier for you getting to write for The 'Shroom, so don't get your hopes up. If you want something to do, you can try taking part in talk page discussions. Discussions with this template on them need resolved, and here's a category listing them all. You can also vote on proposals (be sure to read the rules before voting).    23:44, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

Ok and I will make sure I double check the rules.  Bubbasour11

Thank you

Thank you everyone here that is helping me understand being a mariowiki user I realy appreciate it =).  Bubbasour11

Yoshi

"T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas" (again, you spelled it wrong) is just some one-off rubbish from a 1993 character guide. No game or any other official material backs it up. It doesn't warrant being in the infobox.    00:23, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

RE: I wanna do Monthly Inquisition

Hello there, Bubbasour! Goombuigi is indeed finished with the section (though we have in the past had multiple writers doing the same section, and we certainly still welcome it). We'd be happy to have you as a writer for Monthly Inquisition. If you would please, take a look at our sign-up page and follow the instructions in the red box. In short form, we'll need you to write a demo section - or basically the first edition of your section, since it will make it into the paper if it's approved and should show us how you plan to write your section (however you'd like, in any text editor or word editor) - and then send it privately to our Statistics Manager, Ninja Squid, either through a forum PM or other means (if you don't have any other method to send it privately, you may send it via email to mwshroom@gmail.com).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me or any member of the staff, and we'll be happy to answer your questions or help you with formatting your section or whatever you may need. Thank you, and I hope we seen an application from you soon! Hooded Pitohui (talk) 00:49, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Omygosh! Thank you I do know the 71st shroom is coming soon so I will give you one for issue 72 (remember I wold like to write bi-monthly) I am like sooooooooooooo hapy that you are having me it is a real honor.  Bubbasour11

Re: The use of "you"

MarioWiki forbids the use of second person language, referring to readers directly in articles. This means that you are not permitted to write "you" in articles, you have to refer to players in third person or using "they" pronouns.   Ray Trace(T|C) 09:05, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Application Process

Thanks for sending an application! To answer your question, all you have to do next is wait. I've shared your application with the rest of the staff. We now will take one week to review your application. We will contact you again when that process is finished, so expect a message on June 16th or June 17th. We will let you know whether your section has been accepted, denied, or accepted with contingencies (basically, "accepted, but only if you change/fix some things we ask you to"), and we will pass along feedback and tips for improving your section. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 09:11, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Ok  Bubbasour11

If my section is denied can I try again for the next issue?  Bubbasour11

Yes, of course! If the application is denied, you can (and are encouraged) to use the feedback you receive to revise your application and send it in again. So long as you're making a meaningful effort to improve the application, we welcome potential writers to try again! Hooded Pitohui (talk) 10:49, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

=) Yay =)  Bubbasour11

Unfortunately, the application process takes a week. Please understand that our goal is to make sure we thoroughly review your application and offer as much feedback as possible so you can improve your section. We don't want to make you wait, but please remain patient, and we'll get back to you when a week has passed. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 22:34, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Ok I get it. But seriously thank you soooooooooooooooooooo much for even considering this.  Bubbasour11

Bubbasour

The page(s) you recently created (Bubbasour) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
 1. Make sure there is no other article about the same subject with a different title, especially for conjectural articles.
 2. Make sure the article has enough information to make it a worthwhile read (i.e. it does more than state the obvious, such as "Luigi's Mansion is a mansion that is owned by Luigi"). Overly short articles are known as stubs and their creation is strongly discouraged; it is better to amass enough information to make a solid article right off the bat instead.
 3. Make sure the article is significant enough in the Super Mario franchise to have its own article.

If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing!

Don't create articles meant for userspace. Anything like that always goes on your userpage.

Regarding your other recent edits, please read through the Manual of Style again as I suggested above, because you're still making edits that don't follow proper writing guidelines (specifically, "you" should not be used on articles as Ray Trace mentioned, and game titles should be formatted in italics, e.g. Super Mario Bros. 2 --> Super Mario Bros. 2).   Mario JC 21:44, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Ok. I just wanted a joke page there (you have read my queen bee and yoshi egg fake fake news right?) Oh and this feels like a weard time to ask but can we put each other as friends on our userbox towers?  Bubbasour11

Spark

One or more pages that you have recently created have been deleted or marked as a stub article. Please consider the following ideas and suggestions when expanding/creating an article:
 • Before saving a new page, be sure that you have put as much effort and information in the article as you can.
 • Make sure that the page follows all of the rules that are outlined in the Manual of Style.
 • Perhaps upload a few images that can be used on the article.
Please don't take this notice as a dejection; this is just an informative notice and we encourage you to keep contributing.

Not only was the article a new stub, which we don't allow, but much of what you added was incorrect, unsourced and/or speculative (Mario creating the Sparks, and certain Sparks being "connected" to certain characters). If there's currently not enough information for the subject, then the article shouldn't be created until more becomes available. The article was also missing categories (as covered in the Manual of Style), and you're also still not capitalising certain proper nouns like "Luma" and "Rabbid".   Mario JC 06:38, June 15, 2021 (EDT)

Ok. Sory for the inconvenience.  Bubbasour11

Your Application Has Been Reviewed

Hello, Bubbasour. I'm writing to you today to inform you that we've reviewed your application for Monthly Inquisition, and, unfortunately, at this time, we have to reject your application. The main issues that prevented us from accepting your section were numerous grammar and spelling issues and the length of your section. As it currently stands, your section feels a little too short. You have good ideas and jokes, but we'd like to see you add a little more to your section so that it can stand on its own. Make sure you tell a complete story. It doesn't have to be complex or overly-long, but it should give you time to develop the characters and jokes you use. The Yoshi egg example you have on your userpage is closer to what we'd like to see, to give you an idea of what it means. Introduce a character, make a few jokes, and bring the section to some kind of conclusion. Right now, the way you end the section is a little too abrupt.

Spelling and grammar are another major issue here. While Fawful is not a character with good grammar, the grammar mistakes in this section don't reflect his speech patterns. We are willing to edit minor grammar and spelling mistakes, especially for younger writers or writers who do not speak English as their first language, but with such extensive mistakes, we need to know you're willing to improve.

So, here are the three things you can focus on to improve this application before you send it in again:

 • Make the ending less abrupt, and add a little more content.
 • Focus on fixing spelling errors, perhaps by using a spell-checker or asking someone (either someone you know or a member of The 'Shroom staff) if they can help you edit your section.
 • Focus on fixing the grammatical errors. Make sure your sentences are properly constructed, and that you use proper grammar in general.

If you can focus on at least the first point and one of the other two, and show you're willing to put in some effort to edit your section for grammar and spelling, you'll stand a strong chance of being accepted the next time you send in an application. We're happy to meet you halfway when it comes to editing, but we need to know you're willing to work on these issues, too.

Thank you for your interest in The 'Shroom! We do hope you send in an updated application in the future. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 11:41, June 17, 2021 (EDT)

Yah spelling and grammar were my biggest worries because I am 11 years old (hence Bubbasour 11) so I will try again.  Bubbasour11

Please do! As long as we see some improvement, we'll be able to help you edit. Your submissions don't have to be perfect, so don't stress too much. (And for an idea on who to interview, why don't you think about interviewing Rosalina? You could introduce her by talking about her original backstory, then make a joke about Baby Rosalina being in Kart races, contradicting her backstory. Plus, you'll get plenty of space-themed puns out of it.) Hooded Pitohui (talk) 12:15, June 17, 2021 (EDT)

The Roasalina Thing is a good idea so I think I will do that. Also I think every now and then I shold do little bits with Tosdette and Bubbasour flirting (as in the backstage one except it is in like every issue I do) and I can just ceep trying to contradict it here on my talk page. Thank you for helping me.  Bubbasour11

We've received your updated application! As before, we'll take a week to review it and then get back to you. Thank you for sending in a new application. Hooded Pitohui (talk) 08:34, June 18, 2021 (EDT)

Old talk page discussions

Please pay attention to time stamps on talk pages. If the discussion is from several years ago, there is no point responding since either the problem may have been sorted or the user(s) may not be active anymore.   Nightwicked Bowser   09:57, June 18, 2021 (EDT)

Reminder

Please stop not following proper grammar and writing guidelines on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You were notified for this multiple times. Remember to capitalise proper nouns and italicise game titles. Please read through our Manual of Style.   Mario JC 22:56, June 18, 2021 (EDT)

Application 2 Review

Hello, Bubbasour! I come with news regarding your second application for Monthly Inquisition. So, first, I unfortunately do have to deliver some bad news. At this time, based on this submission, we can't accept this as a regular, ongoing section. Looking past grammar and spelling and other issues which can be edited out, right now, the story is a bit too random in how it jumps around. Jokes get set up but not used, and there's pieces that don't get explained at all (like Toadette). However, we do think you have potential, and we want to recognize the improvements you made between your first submission and your second submission. So, we are willing to accept this application as a one-off submission, provided you make just a few edits and additions.

First, let me link you to the edited version of your original submission.

I edited your section for grammar and spelling and added wiki formatting to it.

Now, here's the changes we want you to make (I'll help you edit them, so don't worry!)

 • Add a reaction from Rosalina before you explain who Toadette is and why she's there - this will help make Toadette's appearance feel a little less random. You'll have a reason to introduce her, because your guest will ask who she is.
 • Add one more question to the interview before Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi show up - right now, the interview, which is the main part of the section, doesn't have enough compared to the other jokes. One staff member recommended that you ask Rosalina how she avoided being kidnapped in Super Mario Galaxy.
 • Where you say "(Sorry if this is inaccurate at the time you are reading this. The day I wrote this was June 17, 2021.)," change it to "As of June 17th. Please don’t sue me." in small text - if you're okay with this change, I can make it for you. Instead of taking readers out of the interview to speak to them, this makes it seem like you're talking to the audience.
 • Get rid of the line about Rosalina taking hostages, and instead have yourself promising to call security at the end. - The ending is just a little bit dark and out of place, so maybe we could soften it a bit?

If you'll make these four changes (I will help you!), we will print this in issue 172. Does that sound like a fair plan? Hooded Pitohui (talk) 13:47, June 25, 2021 (EDT)

Sounds Good. I probably misused the word hostage and I did think it might need a few more questions. (hopefully) Your youngest writer:  Bubbasour11
