When I was 7 (if you're confused, I'm 11 now), my dad bought my mum a SNES with [[Super Mario All-Stars]] and [[Super Mario Kart]] for Christmas since she used to have one as a kid but then gave it to my cousin. When I saw it, I asked "Mum, what's that?". She then replied saying it was a video game console. I never played a video game at the time. She then told me about Mario and described him. She said it was a game about a guy in red and blue clothes trying to save a princess from a monster. My sister then told me there was talking mushroom people (toads) and turtles (koopas) and little brown things (goombas). I wathced my mum play the game and later she asked if I wanted to play. I loved it and to this day I still do!

How I found out about Mario
