Greetings and salutations! I'm FanOfRosalina2007. I'm a new user on this wiki, although I've been browsing around since about three years ago. I'm a big fan of Rosalina (as you might guess by my username). I am also fond of Princess Peach, Lemmy, Yoshi, and Lumas in in general. Since I'm new, any help on any subject is helpful!

I know my username can be a bit of a pain to write out when you're talking to me, and if you want to not have to write it out in full, you may use the abbreviation FOR2007. I would prefer it if you would write out my username in full, but the abbreviation is acceptable for me too, provided you only use it occasionally. Thanks to FanOfYoshi for giving me this idea!

If you'd like to know where the idea for my username came from, it's simple. The first part (FanOfRosalina) communicates my love for Rosaina. As for where the 2007 comes from? That's the year when Super Mario Galaxy came out, and that game is Rosalina's debut game. 2007 is not the year I was born, so don't think that upon seeing it. I may disclose my age at a later time if I feel like it. :)

Basic information about me

• I am currently located in Texas in the USA.
• I have a Nintendo Switch and a Wii.
• I have a special interest in the history of video games, but I like all things about video games in general.
• I'm a very big fan of the Super Mario series (of course), and I absolutely love the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

My hobbies, interests, and goals for the wiki

Outside of the wiki, I love to read, listen to music, and take walks outside. I also have a passion for theater and singing, though I don't like singing in front of other people (it makes me nervous). Additionally, I enjoy watching TV shows occasionally; one of my favorites is Cardcaptor Sakura, an anime series from the late 1990's. It's very good!

You couldn't really call me a gamer in the true sense of the word, because I like learning about and/or researching video games way more than playing them. I'm basically a gaming historian. I'm always looking for more info on my favorite games and characters, and I love unused and prerelease content for video games as well. I like to call myself a know-it-all on the topic of Rosalina, but that's not really true...although I do know a lot about her (mostly thanks to this wiki). I also like characters with dramatic backstories (don't ask me why), which is partially why I like Rosalina. This is also part of the reason why Mewtwo is my favorite Pokemon and why Shadow the Hedgehog is my favorite Sonic character.

Something you should know is the characters I don't like. I absolutely hate Wario, because he's mean and nasty and smelly and gross, not to mention dumb! He must have a brain the size of a pea. I also hate Baby Rosalina. I know, I know...just why do I hate the baby version of my favorite video game character? For two reasons: one, Baby Rosalina is a huge embarrassment to her adult counterpart, not to mention that she was made specifically for Mario Kart 8! That really cheeses me off. Second reason: Baby Rosalina flatly contradicts Rosalina's backstory. This is the most important reason to me. I hate it when any character's backstory is contradicted even slightly. Those are the only reasons why I hate her, but it's enough for me.

Moving on to my goals for the wiki: I'm mostly just trying to get by without being blocked. I'd like to contribute as much as possible to this awesome wiki, and while I may not have done many notable things so far, I'll try to in the (maybe) near future. However, I'm not looking to become an administrator or land in a position of power. I love this wiki with all my heart and I really want to be useful, even if it's just with little things. In short: I want to contribute as much as possible, and I want to be a good influence on the wiki.

My coding knowledge is not very good, but I can do very basic coding. I cannot upload audio files, but I learned how to upload images recently. I'm quite inexperienced overall, but I will learn all I can, and I hope to be of more use in the future!

Other stuff I do

This is just a small section on other video game things I like to do that aren't directly related to the Super Mario series. First off, I have an account on The Cutting Room Floor. You can find me there under the same name that I use here. I also love the Sonic the Hedgehog series of games almost as much as I do Super Mario games. I also like other Sonic media, especially the TV show Sonic Prime. If I'm not researching things for this wiki, it's safe to assume that I'm researching Sonic games and characters. Additionally, I'm very passionate about my likes and dislikes, to the point where I obsess over them. Here's a small, friendly warning: don't criticize characters I like, or you will get an earful about how Rosalina or Shadow the Hedgehog (or whoever else you insulted) is infinitely better than you will ever know, and all the reasons for it.

I'm also a huge nerd (if you haven't guessed already). It's a good thing to be a nerd! Seriously, you should try it! :)

My favorite Mario characters

My favorite Mario characters:

1. Rosalina. Oh, where to start? She's my #1 video game character of all time, she actually has a backstory (yay!!), she's the guardian of the cosmos...the list goes on and on. Amazing character, debuting in an amazing game. What more can be said?

2. Princess Peach. She's awesome, especially in the movie. Why can't Nintendo do more stuff where Peach actually goes and faces Bowser like she did in the movie? Nevertheless, I really like her overall and she's awesome.

3. Yoshi (I like light-blue Yoshi best). They're cute and they're fun to play as. How many more dinosaurs have you met who can swallow turtle shells and breathe out fire while looking calm an collected in the process? Answer's simple...none!

4. Lemmy Koopa. I absolutely adore him, though I don't know why. I don't like any of the Koopalings except Lemmy and maybe Larry. All the others? I can't stand them.

5. Lumas as a whole (especially Baby Luma, which is why it's shown here). They speak for themselves. Useful and cute. Enough said.

My favorite Mario games

1.Super Mario Galaxy

• I love this game so much! I love Rosalina, I love the Lumas, I love the story, the gameplay...pretty much everything about this game I love. Enough said.

2.Super Mario Odyssey

• This game is AMAZING!!! I love it so, so much! The gameplay is magnificent, the story is great, and I love how much it makes you explore! And it's one of the few games where Mario visibly fails several times before he beats Bowser, which makes for an amazing plot and really good plot development. This also makes it a unique Super Mario game. And it's not very hard, either. I love how this game welcomes players of all skill levels, as well! Assist Mode is awesome when you're really struggling with something. I just can't say how much I love this game; there's too much that's good about it! If you haven't played it, play it. Like, RIGHT NOW.

3.Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

• This game is awesome! Again, I love everything about it. I'm very, very good at this game. With the DLC, it's pretty much perfect!

4.Super Mario Bros. Wonder

• I got this game for Christmas, and I love it so much!! It's amazingly creative, it encourages exploring, the powerups are so fun to use, and best of all, there's no time limit! This game is perfect in every way, and I only put it in fourth here because I can play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for longer without getting bored, the story in SMBW is a bit lacking compared to Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Odyssey is, well, just a better game. Still, the game being so many years in the making was totally worth it.

5.Princess Peach: Showtime!

• This game is quite good! It's very easy, and the transformations are fun to use. It's a creative game; however, I think Nintendo could have done more with it. I would highly recommend playing it though, especially if you're a fan of Princess Peach like I am!

6.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

• While not technically a Mario game, I thoroughly enjoy playing this game. It's so fun, and World of Light is such a great addition to the game.

7.Mario Party Superstars

• I just played this for the first time recently, and I like it much better than Super Mario Party (which I also own). It's a real blast from the past with the minigames and the boards, and I love the music! It's a great game!

I will add to this list over time, but that's all I can think of now.

Mario Kart statistics

I love Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so everything you need to know about what I do on the game is here.

Favorite characters: Rosalina, Peach, Daisy, Peachette, Pauline, Yoshi, and Baby Peach.

Favorite courses: Pretty much all of the returning Mario Kart Wii courses, Singapore Speedway, Yoshi's Island, 3DS Rock Rock Mountain, 3DS Rainbow Road, 3DS Rosalina's Ice World, Wild Woods.

Favorite combo (kart): For Rosalina: Cat Cruiser kart, Standard wheels, Super Glider. For my other mains: It varies.

Favorite combo (bike): For Rosalina: Comet bike, Standard wheels, Super Glider. For my other mains: Again, it varies.

Favorite course music track: Vancouver Velocity.

Update: I got a Wii for Christmas and I also got Mario Kart Wii, so now I can play the second best Mario Kart game ever!!! I am so excited!!!! Here's what I do on Mario Kart Wii:

Favorite characters (at least the ones I've unlocked so far): Rosalina, Peach, Baby Peach. I'll also play as Daisy and maybe Funky Kong when I unlock them.

Favorite courses: All of them, but I especially like Grumble Volcano and Maple Treeway.

Favorite Kart: I like the Standard Kart for all of my mains that I've unlocked so far.

Favorite Bike: Standard Bike S for Baby Peach, Sugarscoot for Peach, and it's a tie between the Shooting Star and the Standard Bike L for Rosalina.

Favorite course music track: DK Summit, hands-down.

Image 1: Shadow the Hedgehog (AKA the Ultimate Life Form), my favorite Sonic character and my second favorite video game character overall, following closely behind Rosalina. I like him for a lot of reasons, but I won't get into them as this is a Mario Wiki.

Image 2: Miles "Tails" Prower. My third favorite video game character, tied with Princess Peach. Tails is notable for me as he was the first video game character that I ever had an obsession with! I still really like him, and I probably always will.

Image 3: Silver the Hedgehog. He has awesome telekinetic powers, although he hails from the infamously bad game Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). He's my sixth favorite video game character.

Image 4: Blaze the Cat. I like her for a lot of reasons as well. She's in the fifth spot on my list of the best video game characters.

Image 5: Mewtwo, a Legendary Pokemon. My favorite Pokemon for many reasons. Funnily enough, the Mewtwo from Mewtwo Strikes Back and Shadow the Hedgehog are quite similar in many ways. Is it a coincidence that they are both on my list of the best video game characters? You be the judge.

Image 6: Lucina, a warrior from the future. She first appears in the game Fire Emblem Awakening. I don't actually play Fire Emblem games, but I do play Smash Ultimate, which is why I like her. I also like her backstory. I don't really have her ranked, but who cares. My list of the best video game characters are occupied exclusively by Mario and Sonic characters, anyway.

Image 7: Pyra (in front) and Mythra (in the back). I like their story too. They are my Smash Ultimate mains. Mythra especially fits my playstyle.

My contributions

I haven't done much on the wiki yet, but I aim to do as much as possible. I plan on getting Princess Peach: Showtime! as soon as it comes out, so I may contribute to that page in the near future. In the meantime, I'll see what I can do to help out!

My first big contribution to the wiki was uploading images of the playable Mario Party Superstars characters and adding their bios to their profiles and statistics pages. I am rather proud of this, and I was careful to try and not mess up. I hope I did a good job!

Note: I am currently trying to work on prerelease things for Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. I need serious help with this as I am so new, and help of any and all kinds is highly appreciated. If you'd like to help me, please message me on my talk page. I will get back to you as soon as possible. The info you need is here and here (look under Super Mario RPG). I mainly need help traversing sites, uploading images, and translating Japanese text. I have no experience with the last two things, and I'm not able to look at some sites for some reason. Again, any help on this is greatly appreciated! There is a lot to cover, so this project may take a long time.
