:Bumping this, I'll point out that the Japanese name is very similar to Kamekku, or Magikoopa, as well as Tutankhamen, suggesting a portmanteau. The problem? It could always just mean "turtle" instead of trying to invoke Kamekku. This guy indeed uses magic and is built like a Magikoopa both in stature and sprite, but his lack of glasses is far enough removed, I figured I should ask. The only thing remotely close to a 3D picture of him is his sprite from Mario Pinball Land.
