Why is this a disambiguation page? Shouldn't this be a series page of sorts or something? GreenDisaster 08:48, 14 April 2012 (EDT)

I agree with you, GreenDisaster. Just because it isn't well-known doesn't mean that it should be a disambiguation page. As it should cover a series of games, it should also be moved to Mario's Early Years! (series) to maintain consistency. Also, since all three titles linked to on the article as of now appears to begin with "Mario's Early Years!", it must contain an exclamation point as well. Shouldn't we apply what you just said ? I don't know why it is still marked as an unresolved talk page. By the way, can we rename the page without "approval" in this case ? And why the "(serie)" is necessary ? This the only page who have this name. Sorry for those questions :/ Banon (talk) 03:47, 1 November 2012 (EDT)
I have no real opinion on this but what I meant was that you shouldn't move conjectural names with out a proposal. Marshal Dan Troop (talk)
Ok, thanks to have answered my question :) Banon (talk) 03:56, 1 November 2012 (EDT)
Also yes the (series) is necessary. Marshal Dan Troop (talk)

Fake game ?

Is this a fake game ? It looks like a 3 in 1 game... If it's fake, is the logo edited ? Because it's a good logo for the series.

I think that may be the uncreated Mario's Early Years! CD-ROM Collection. I'm unfamiliar with the series, but the example seems legit enough.

Mario Discovery series

I first thought the name "Mario Discovery" was made-up, and that's why I had removed it in the Koopa Troopa article.

But after a while I found it mentionned in the Mario's Time Machine article.
After that, I also found the Wikipedia article that lists the Mario educationnal games. It reads:

The "Mario Discovery Series" is a label given to five Mario educational games that were developed by The Software Toolworks.[2]

. The source is a link, that contains that link, which reads:

In part because of “Nintendo’s favorable evaluation of development work” on Mario is Missing!, the initial contract with The Software Toolworks expanded to include four more Mario edutainment software titles, what would later make up the Mario Discovery Series: Mario’s Time Machine, Mario’s Early Years: Fun with Numbers, Mario’s Early Years: Fun with Letters, and Mario’s Early Years: Preschool Fun.

Do you think "Mario Discovery" is an official name? If so, we should move that page to "Mario Discovery (series)" and includes information for Mario is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine.

We need more sources confirming this name. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 22:38, 8 April 2013 (EDT)

Rename to Mario (edutainment series) and consider Mario is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine as part of the series

This is in light of the comments directly above.

While I can see why everyone lumped in only the Mario's Early Years! games here, I'm pretty certain that the other edutainment games are meant to be part of this series as well. Though it may seem that I have no proof to back it up, I do have some information that can be used to support this proposal:

  • All five games are in the edutainment genre.
  • All five games were developed by the same third-party company (Software Toolworks / Mindscape).
  • One official magazine scan I found heavy implies in the very first sentence that the series was meant to include Mario is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine as well.

That being said, I propose we rename this to Mario (edutainment series) and include Mario is Missing! and Mario's Time Machine in the article.

Ehhhh I'm not really seeing why this should be renamed to "Mario". Maybe we can just lump the ones into Mario's Early Years? And about the above discussion, is "Mario Discovery Series" just not a viable name, or am I missing something? Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! It was never officially called Mario Discovery, at lest according to what I dug up. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 22:06, 3 December 2018 (EST)
