Sun Sun Beach

Sun Sun Beach is the first level in the first world of DK: Jungle Climber (if Cranky's Teachin's isn't counted as a real level. This stage is coded as 1-2).

Walkthrough

Firstly, the player (who plays as Donkey Kong) has to climb up the first set of pegs where, at the top, he/she can grab the letter K. He/she should then continue to the right and then speak to Cranky by pressing the X button. He will then explain about Banana Coins. The player should continue climbing upwards, jump onto the ledge, grab the first of the five Banana Coins, and continue on the section two.

The player should now walk over to Cranky and press the X button. He explains about looking around by pressing up or down on the control pad. The player can then continue to the right past Cranky, fall down the gap, walk back over to the left and collect the second Banana Coin, then walk into the Barrel Cannon. He/she should then jump back onto the pegs, collecting the O and then the third Banana Coin. He/she should then climb up the single (round) pegs and jump onto the small ledge and then into the Bonus Barrel where he/she can then play Banana Bonanza. Once it has been played, the player will then return to the in-game ledge. He/she should then continue to the right and onto the third section.

The player will now see Cranky Kong again, where he will explain about Oil Barrels. He/she can then continue climbing in an upwards/left direction, collecting the letter N along the way. The player can then grab onto the two pegs directly below the wooden barrel. He/she can then press the A button and attack upwards, destroying the wooden barrel and colleting the Oil Barrel. The player can then continue onto the final section of the level.

Cranky Kong will be standing on the ground again, where the player can speak to him. This time he speaks about DK Coins. Once this lecture is over, the player can then climb up the pegs and collect the letter G and receive a 1-Up. He/she should then continue climbing over to the right and destoy the wooden barrel and obtain the second last Banana Coin, then jump back onto the pegs and climb over to the wooden platform, walking over to the left, jumping onto the pegs and grabbing the final Banana Coin. The player can then climb up the last set of pegs, destroying the last wooden barrel and obtaining the level's DK Coin. The player can then walk over to the gate labelled "DK", completing the level.

The player can then move onto World 1-3: Jungle Beach.
