- Every ruler of the Floro Sapiens, regardless of gender, is named "Croacus", which is based on the Crocus plant.
- His nickname, Iron Rose, may come from the Iron Lady title that is usually used to describe female heads of government. Despite this, King Croacus I is male. Apart for the painting, he appears in Flopside Pit of 100 Trials, in rooms 26-50.
