Toadies are enemies from that first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island later in Yoshi's Story then Yoshi Touch & Go and finally Yoshi's Island DS. They usually travel in groups of four and are the minions of Kamek the Magikoopa. They are not to be confused with the friendly Toad species.

In Yoshi's Island, the Toadies will carry Baby Mario away if Yoshi allows him to float free for too long. There were also the seldom seen green Toadies (also known as Solo Toadies) who would swipe Baby Mario if he fell off Yoshi's back, a purple sub-species also appear in the game. He would then make it difficult for Yoshi to take back Mario.

In Yoshi's Story, the Toadies would appear to carry defeated Yoshis off to Bowser's Castle. In Yoshi Touch & Go, Yoshi must stop the Toadies from stealing Luigi by throwing eggs at them. Other smaller and differently colored Toadies apart from the usual four also appear as generic enemies in Yoshi Touch & Go. They are different from other enemies in that they will make a beeline for Baby Mario or Yoshi, rather than following a determined path. The orb item depicting a Toady in Mario Party 5 is incorrectly labeled as "Magikoopa Orb". This is corrected to "Toady Orb" in Mario Party 6, although the Mario Party Advance mini-game Broom Zoom seems to confuse them with Magikoopas again (saying that Toadies use brooms, while, in actuality, it is Magikoopas who make use of them).

Toadies have yet to be used as normal enemies and have attacks, although a certain Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island sub-species known as the Solo Toady attacked in such a manner.

Toadies appear in the mini-game Scratch and Match.
