For every Toad trailing the player as they're progressing through the level, they will reward a coin every quarter of a second as long as the player is moving. The Toads will stop giving out coins after 25 seconds in one part, requiring the player to advance. If any of these Toads get hit by an enemy or hazard, they'll be defeated and the player can't recruit them again for the rest of the level unless it's restarted.

Template:More images Template:Levelbox Chaos in the Grand Labyrinth is the last level of Special Episode in the Nintendo Switch version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It was released on March 14, 2019 for players who have purchased the Special Episode DLC. It is the final challenge of the Special Episode and is required to beat once to begin earning completion stamps on the Episode's book cover on the title screen, but isn't required for the Super Gem and Target Time stamps. It's the second level in the chapter to not include Super Gems after Wingo's Double Trouble.

Layout

The level takes place through 30 parts of a labyrinth, each one proceduraly generated from preset patterns. The aesthetic changes time of day every 10 parts, and the enemies appearing change every 5 parts. For each part, the player must pluck a friendly Mole, which will reward them with a Warp Box. At some points, other Moles may appear that reward different things such as Super Pickaxes or Super Mushrooms. For the entire level, a Mummy-Me will appear shortly after you enter every part to chase you. However, unlike Mummy-Me Maze Forever, only 1 Mummy-Me will appear at a time, and at a set interval throughout the whole level.

At parts 5, 10, 15 and 20 the player is given a short rest area with a statue of the enemies in the next few levels and a Super Pickax to use on 48 Pluck Patches, 2 of which are guaranteed to either have a Super Mushroom or a Golden Mushroom.

At parts 10, 15 and 20, the player can approach other members of the Toad Brigade, being Green Toad, Yellow Toad and Blue Toad respectively.

At the end of the level, in part 30, Captain Toad and Toadette find the Super Crown.
