Ruff Puffs are cloud enemies that appear in the Paper Mario series. They attack by bonking people in the head, and charging up for electric attacks.
Notable Ruff Puffs
Sub-Species
Dark Puffs
Pale Ruff Puffs found in the Boggly Woods. The weakest Puff. They have the same abilities a regular Ruff Puff has.
Ice Puffs
Ice-powered Ruff Puffs found in Fahr Outpost. They attack by ramming and charging up for icy attacks.
Poison Puffs
Poison-powered Ruff Puffs found in the Pit of 100 Trials. They attack by ramming and charging up for poisonous attacks. The poison gas attack does 10 damage, so heads up!
Tuff Puffs
In the game Paper Mario, Tuff Puffs are Ruff Puffs that are a part of Huff N. Puff. They appear after Mario and his team attack Huff N. Puff (they break off Huff N. Puff) and provide backup during battle. Huff N. Puff will swallow these guys up to restore HP.
Paper Mario Stats and Tattle Information
Ruff Puff
- HP: 10
- Attack: 4
- Defense: 0
- Location: Flower Fields
- Tattle: This is a Ruff Puff. Ruff Puffs are nasty little cloud henchmen of Huff N. Puff. Ruff Puffs float in the air, so a Jump attack or something similar may be best. Of course, I'd be more than happy to give 'em a Headbonk! It's your call, Mario.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Stats and Tattle Information
Ruff Puff
- HP: 7
- Attack: 4
- Defense: 0
- Locations: Riverside Station
- Tattle Number: 68
- Tattle: Log A relative of the Dark Puff... or perhaps just a different-colored one. It charges up and shocks you with lightning.
- Tattle: This is a Ruff Puff. Don't confuse them with Dark Puffs... Although I don't think the world would end if you DID confuse them, but anyway... Max HP is 7, Attack is 4, and Defense is 0. They swoop at you or charge themselves with electricity before unleashing lightning. Oh, and if you touch them while they're charged, you'll get a shock!
