Mandibugs are beetle-like enemies found solely in Super Mario Galaxy. They infested the Honeyhive Galaxy and are led by the Bugaboom. They are apparently unfriendly neighbors of the Bees, and they take over the Bees' tower in one of the missions: Trouble on the Tower. One can be defeated by executing a Ground Pound on its back. Along with the Honeyhive Galaxy, Mandibugs appear in a handful of other locations, including Honeyclimb Galaxy and on Airships. They attack Mario by chasing him and harm the plumber with their mandibles.

  • The name "Mandibug" is a wordplay on the words "mandible" and "bug."
