Baby Bowser's questions are Yes/No questions such as "Do you like to study?" Answers suggesting less maturity will generally earn the player more/better items. Answers suggesting more maturity may cause him to say "Don't go around saying stuff just so people will like you!" and give the player nothing.

Toad's questions are more choice-oriented, such as "What kind of item would you most like to have?", and offer three possible choices. Template:Space-infobox The Item Space is a rare space that appears on boards in Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 3.

Mario Party 2

If a player lands on this space in Mario Party 2, the player will play an Item mini-game for a chance to get an item. The mini-game varies on the board being played.

Note that no item mini-game will be played if it is either the last turn or the player already has an item. In both of these cases, the space will have no effect.

Mario Party 3

In Mario Party 3, a player may either play an Item Mini-Game or be visited by either Toad or Baby Bowser, who will ask the player a question.

Answers suggesting greed (depending on the player's ranking) are more likely to cause Toad to leave and give the player nothing. Answers suggesting less greed will generally net the player more/better items, or possibly a rare item.

If the player already has three items in his/her possession and/or it is the last turn of the game, the space will have no effect.
