His debut as Bowser was in Super Mario Strikers, where he also voiced the Super Team; his breakthrough role though wasn't realized until the release of Super Mario Galaxy. In 2008, James returned to the role in Mario Kart Wii and also began to voice Dry Bowser starting with this game. Later that year Scott Burns - Bowser's previous voice actor - returned to voice the character in Mario Super Sluggers.
