Image categories

Hello, MuteMC. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file into a subject category. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups: Images Audio/video files Album images Company images Film images Game images Internet images Merchandise images Publication images System images Television series images Album media files Company media files Film media files Game media files Internet media files Merchandise media files Publication media files System media files Television series media files When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]] or one it its subcategories. Media files would use: [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

You only need to add the game's image category to files (i.e. Category:Virtual Boy Wario Land screenshots). For reference, Category:Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics images is only for images that relate to the service directly, Category:Wario franchise is not an image category and does not go in image files, Category:Wario levels is the same, and [[Category:Wario Land]] does not exist. - RHG1951 (talk) 21:55, October 6, 2025 (EDT)

Please review this reminder. An image category link should only be one that ends with "images" or something more specific if the category link exists ("screenshots", "artwork" etc.). For example:

[[Category:Donkey Kong Bananza screenshots]]

Anything general like "Donkey Kong franchise" is not specific enough and is for articles and other categories, not files.

Also, the image you uploaded for Chip Exchange was not an ideal image for the page as it did not show the shop itself. Mario JC 08:27, October 10, 2025 (EDT)

New article

The page(s) you recently created (Stage 11 (Virtual Boy Wario Land)) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again. Make sure there is no other article about the same subject with a different title, especially for conjectural articles. Make sure the article has enough information to make it a worthwhile read (i.e. it does more than state the obvious, such as "Luigi's Mansion is a mansion that is owned by Luigi"). Overly short articles are known as stubs and their creation is strongly discouraged; it is better to amass enough information to make a solid article right off the bat instead. Make sure the article is significant enough in the Super Mario franchise to have its own article. If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing!

Please do not simply copy/paste another article's content for a new article; even if you intended to use it as a template, you should complete the article first before publishing it.
