Hello, Digolas. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file into a subject category. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]]or one it its subcategories. Media files would use: [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Also remember to select a copyright category.

Hi! Great work with your Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope uploads, but be sure to categorize them as [[Category:Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope screenshots, not [[Category:Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope]]. Thank you!

Edits[edit]
I needed to take care of the other edits before I send you a message. Applying transparency to screenshots is discouraged since removing the background often leaves behind parts of the background around the edges, which doesn't look good. In this case, it's best to leave the backgrounds intact. Also, avoid using capital letters for terms that aren't proper nouns in the game, including in section headers (e.g. "Spark Categories" should be "Spark categories").
Let's not be too hasty about wanting to delete your account after a number of reverted edits. You've only just started and it's common for new editors to have a lot of their edits removed or reverted, often because it doesn't align with rules or guidelines, not because we "dislike" them. Since I feel the request was made on impulse, I'm going to give you a week if you wish to revoke it.

- I can stay editing if that's the case, as I'm advanced in wikitext and everything, so thanks for understanding me. I have one question though, can you please at least take note of what information I was trying to add before you and others revert them?
EDIT: I've removed my account deletion request. Digolas 17:08, May 18, 2025 (EUT)
Moving files[edit]
I see you've accidentally uploaded a file without giving it a name. Never fear! You can simply move the file to the correct name by selecting the "move" tab at the top of the screen. If you're on mobile, you can find the option under page tools. There will be a redirect left behind, but wiki staff like me can delete it.

- I know, I just wanted you to delete the redirect. Thanks! -- Digolas 16:29, May 20, 2025 (EUT)
Linking[edit]
Try to avoid adding back-to-back links (that is linking every instance of a subject being mentioned). Generally, if it's just a small section like the roaming enemy tables, you only need to link once, so if you've already linked to a page, there's no need to link to it again a few lines later (see MarioWiki:Manual of Style#Linking, linking, linking! for more details).

Italics[edit]
Hello, Digolas! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.
If you are using a device that uses curly ("smart") punctuation, you may need to disable this function in your device's settings to be able to type out the correct apostrophes. |

- Thanks for clarification, I wasn't sure about making game titles italic. -- Digolas (talk) 20:44, June 6, 2025 (EUT)
Capitalisation[edit]
You're still occasionally capitalising words that shouldn't be capitalised like "variant" in "VS Race Variant" or "stop" in "Dash Food Stop". Only capitalise the word if it's a proper noun or if the game formats it that way.
