Splitting the RPG weapons

I'm not sure about keeping the "swing it rapidly in front of you with a jingle" Donkey Kong hammer together with the SMRPG/Paper/M&L hammer. The second is definitely derived from the first, but I think it's got a life of its own at this point. — eviemaybe (talk) 15:03, June 21, 2026 (UTC)

My idea is to keep it together since one is clearly based on the other as a weapon for Mario, and even bear the same design aspects in the Mario & Luigi games (plus that the Paper Mario Super Hammer looks the same as those as well). Though, I have mentioned on on the Hammer talk that the original DK Hammer could be split further as Hammer (power-up) if absolutely necessary (though that leaves us with the question where the Wrecking Crew hammers would go); and I've also been contemplating if Hammer (DK: Jungle Climber) could be split off, too. rend (talk) (edits) 16:45, June 21, 2026 (UTC)
