Terrain types[edit]

Are articles about every terrain type really necessary? A majority of them are extremely minor, especially the food-based ones primarily found within the Feast Layer. The terrain article already covers all the details needed regarding the minor types.TheCatLover738 (talk) 00:33, March 1, 2026 (UTC)

not every terrain type, but i think creating articles for stuff like Stone and Dirt would be a good idea, since it would let us catalogue how they look in each layer. stuff like Neptunite and Concrete and all the gimmick terrains warrant articles too. when we have those, we can see what we do for minor terrain types like idk, Fiber. — eviemaybe Tanooki Mario's tail, cropped (talk) 14:16, March 1, 2026 (UTC)
Neptunite and Concrete, which even got its own icon, certainly require an article, though Slippery Neptunite can be included with Neptunite. Different designs for terrain types (I believe their refered as "Materials" in an interview) can simply be added to the terrain page. It is Organic Matter where things get difficult to decide because it is exclusive to an unnamed object. Fiber, Quartz, Trash, and Mushroom are not very noteworthy, but I suppose they can be in other articles. And finally, Crumbly Crust and Crumbly Bridge absolutely do not need to be seperate articles. –TheCatLover738 (talk) 22:21, March 1, 2026 (UTC)
