The Tamago Barrier is the seventh and last of seven inventions made by Dr. Mario Nakamatsu that he gives to Mario in the "Time Traveler" story arc in the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is a Yoshi's Egg with a "7" on it. When it is smashed to the ground, it creates an impenetrable electric barrier for seven minutes.

Right after discovering Bowser lied about the nature of their kids, Princess Peach is attacked by the Koopa King. Luigi, who was pretending to be on his side, puts himself between the two and uses the Tamago Barrier, protecting him and Peach. But Bowser realizes he has to just wait seven minutes. Fortunately for them, Mario returns with a Time Machine full to the brim with the Marios from throughout history to defeat Bowser once and for all.
