i don't think lumping the Bananza barrel is the right move here. they seem more like two separate barrels that happen to share the same name. the DKC series barrels serve as level skips and have Ws on them, while the Bananza barrel is essentially a portable Barrel Cannon. —

- And the original ones also looked just like Barrel Cannons. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:56, November 19, 2025 (EST)
- If this gets split, then I think the DKC3 version and the Retro Studios version of Rocket Barrel should be split as well; they're two entirely different type of rocket-like barrels that not only look very different, but control very different as well.

- The only issue with that is that the Rocket Barrel in Retro Studios games has the exact same depiction as the one from Barrel Blast and given that Nintendo has reinstated Rambi's Barrel Blast design as of Super Nintendo World...to me, the barrels happen to look different while being called the same thing. - Okay, first of all, you could've posted this on Talk:Rocket Barrel instead of here. Second...

...what the HECK do you mean, "exact same depiction"? They look nothing alike!

- Also, if you actually read what I posed on Talk:Rocket Barrel, you'd be aware that we don't actually have a name for the Barrel Blast rockets, with the closest thing we officially have being a descriptor instead of an actual name (which doesn't even resemble Rocket Barrel's JP name, mind you). Additionally, the Barrel Blast rockets supposedly fire homing shots at racers, which the Retro Studios Rocket Barrel is completely unable to do (it can't shoot anything, it's merely for travel). So if anything, the Barrel Blast rockets being the same thing as the Rocket Barrels in Returns is complete baseless conjecture. They only share an article because they're rockets that are also barrels.
