Why the plural name?[edit]

Is there a singular name for these objects in the manual? It's just usually better to use singular names where possible. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 17:36, May 22, 2021 (EDT)

From what it seems, all the sources refer to these walls in plural. Spectrogram (talk) 03:15, May 23, 2021 (EDT)
Why not just use "Wall (Wrecking Crew series)" since it's already mentioned to be the commonly shortened form and it's also used singularly? Note that the "Walls & Props" section in the original manual contrasts "* Walls for demolition" with "* Things that can’t be demolished." LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:12, January 3, 2022 (EST)
While I was making this article, I wasn't aware of the more modern names for walls for demolition, so I just used the name from the manual. It makes sense to rename the page to "Wall" now.Spectrogram (talk) 11:00, January 4, 2022 (EST)
I'm not sure what the requirements are to move the page, but it's been a month and it seems noone has an issue with moving the page. Can someone explain how the things like that are done on this wiki? Spectrogram (talk) 02:12, February 2, 2022 (EST)

Should pillars be separated?[edit]

Pillars are deliberately separated in the instruction booklet (labelled as a demolition tool along with dynamite) and they function differently from the walls. They are not targets for destruction.--Platform (talk) 11:33, January 3, 2022 (EST)

I agree. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:12, January 3, 2022 (EST)

"Mashable wall"[edit]

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or a question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

This descriptor is decidedly a typo. The word "mashable" doesn't make sense in the game's context, and the section in the manual where this descriptor comes from repeatedly evokes the act of smashing objects, being followed up by a listing of "unsmashable walls" (note the "s" between "un-" and "-mashable"). Should this particular name be corrected here to "smashable wall"? It wouldn't be the first time a subject's title is altered from the source material on grounds of a misspelling. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 19:28, September 7, 2022 (EDT)

I'd say "mashable" works well enough on its own but the follow-up "unsmashable" makes this reasonable to assume it's a typo. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:34, September 7, 2022 (EDT)
I don't think we should change it in this case. There is a good chance it was intentional, we don't know that. Spectrogram (talk) 05:08, September 8, 2022 (EDT)
