Move to "creased Toad that drops rare things/items"[edit]

We should be blunter regarding this character's, or perhaps pair of character's, conjectural name. Lots of Toads can be considered "troublesome", and it errs way too close to a proper name and then could be confused for a proper name. I think the important and distinguishing part of this character is that they appear twice and drop something rare both times. Therefore, that should be part of the article's identity and therefore its title. Salmancer (talk) 12:48, July 15, 2025 (EDT)

...That name veers a bit too much into "That one bug that looks like a croissant that you can freeze and use as a platform" territory for us. Just "Creased toad" would probably suffice if we had to rename from one conjectural name to another. Gulp. So I did some more research (read: played the three levels and watched a video of the ending). These are two characters. The credits say so, because there are two Toads with creases on one of the World 1 floats. Uh, we can cheese the first one away by calling the entire group the "stack of Toads", as per a game notification when they start or stop following Mario, but the other one would need a name. And without the pattern, "Troublesome Toad" is entirely non-viable. Neither is "Creased Toad", because its a property shared with the Warm Fuzzy Plains character. "Creased Toad (Water's Edge Way character)" is probably the clean answer. Salmancer (talk) 14:17, July 15, 2025 (EDT)
"This one Toad just headed out that way for a solo stroll... He's probably going to check it out." is a quote from a Toad in Decalburg specifically about Toad 2. Toad 1 is very much defined by having four friends. (I need a text dump of Sticker Star. Even if it's organized just by course, it could make cutting through this problem much easier.)
