So I was finally able to put my hands on Super Mario Manga Mania English scans. And this is what is said about the author:
"He is also the manga creator of Super Mario Brothers 2 (Tokuma Shoten), Ore da-yo! Wario da-yo!! (It's Me! Wario!!) (Shogakukan), and many other series."
Do we consider this as an official English translation for the manga?
