European version[edit]

I read the Wikipedia article and it said that the European version is very rare. Also it says that the World version wasn't released in Japan. I'm not entirely sure about this, considering Wikipedia has a "citation needed" notice on that. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:38, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

Hmm...we need to find other sources. Wikipedia isn't the ONLY source out there, i'll try and dig up something. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Okay, I asked Roxas, who uploaded the image, and he says he got it here. Europe, 1995. It seems promising, but at least we know where that came from now. Marcelagus (TCE)
TMK says it was released in Europe and America, though they only list the American release date. They don't mention any Japanese release, so maybe would could note on the page that it wasn't released in Japan. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 18:18, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

We really should include the European version to avoid confusion, whether or not we know the date. We should have Europe under NA, and then either "release date unknown" or simply leave it blank. Regardless, we need to acknowledge its European release. --The Ultimate Mario Fan 05:04, 16 February 2012 (EST)

Just...[edit]

... How many redirects this article is going to have?

Seriously. --Blitzwing 16:26, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

Well, it may look like alot of redirects, but the "+" key creates a glitch. I only created two redirects, I think. I really dont know now, is the + sign screwing it up or something? Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
The + sign does create a glitch in article titles. Annoying, really. Try typing in the exact article title in the search box. You'll be redirected. Marcelagus (TCE)

How come[edit]

This gets a page, yet the Donkey Kong Country remakes do not?

You can create them if you want. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC

PC Version?[edit]

Is there a PC version of this game too? I clearly remember playing this on a computer about 5 years ago (and no, there were no signs that it was an emulator). --King Bean (talk ~ contribs) 20:03, 20 February 2010 (EST)

Nope. You're probably remembering one of the edutainment games. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Keep separate 7-1
These are pretty much the same game except SMW.

Proposer: Yoshi104 (talk)
Deadline: October 1, 2010 12:20 GMT.

Support[edit]

  1. Yoshi104 (talk) They're the same game except for Super Mario World.

Oppose[edit]

  1. Fuzzipede27 (talk) It's a differnt game. It's like saying merge super mario advance 4 with super mario bros. 3
  2. Marioguy1 (talk) - Or SMB2 with SMB:LL. Per Fuzzi.
  3. LeftyGreenMario (talk) Not until we merge all the advance games (which I see won't happen any time soon).
  4. GalacticPetey (talk) Per the green mario who is left handed.
  5. SKmarioman (talk) I just improved the article with a new image and the {{infobox}} template.
  6. Zero777 (talk) I am Zero! They're different games and SMA-SSMW is big enough to stand as its own. Zero signing out.
  7. Frostyfireyoshi (talk) There's nothing I like more than a nice, cold glass of FAIL. Except the spice called CONTRADICTORY! Food analogies aside, per all & MG1's comments below.

Comments[edit]

@ Fuzzipede They are the same game except SMW was added in the 2nd version. Yoshi104 (talk)

People, I have had this problem in many, many, proposals so far. Please never let me catch anyone saying "they are the same except" - that is called a contradictory sentence and is void of any intellectual points. Marioguy1 (talk)
People probably meant similar (and signatures are actually allowed in the comments section of talk page proposals) Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:29, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
OK, I see not the logic in the claim of the signature comment but I don't see the harm in allowing them on places that would have signatures anyways, so I won't press my point about that. Yes, these two are "similar" because one is Super Mario All Stars and the other is Super Mario All Stars...with another release date, a new title screen, the addition of Yoshi to the game, an entire list on the page of things that differentiated from the original SMW, not to mention the different prices (i.e. Nintendo labels them as different objects with different pricing). They are not similar, they are very different - the differences are so minor that Yoshi104 overlooked them but the differences are still there and there are many of them. The only mergeable things are the things that have no (physical) differences. I would consider merging articles where the differences were simply aesthetic but if the differences are physical (or graphical considering it's a game) then I say no. Here there are several differences other than the changing pictures. :) Marioguy1 (talk)

PAL?[edit]

Why is that the article clearly has the boxart saying 'PAL Version' when nothing on the page says anything about there being an Australian version? SKmaric (talk)

Australia ? What about Europe... ? The game didn't come out in Australia. The American version was released before the European one though, so there's no reason to put the European box. Koopalmier 01:46, 18 January 2011 (EST)
